Educational Material Center

The Educational Material Center is intended to help reinforce the curriculum. Teachers will find a great variety of resources including instructional games, manipulatives, posters, and videos to enrich their teaching, as well as creative and innovative project suggestions.

The resources are classified by subject and grade level. Assistance is available in finding activities that will closely relate to the concepts and skills being taught. All resource items are checked out with the Educational Materials Head before they are taken to the classroom. The registered user is responsible for the care and completeness of the materials and should return items with the bar coded label.

Workspaces are available for teachers to prepare for class. Users come prepared with the needed supplies for working and maintaining order and cleanliness in the provided spaces. There is also a separate lounge area where teachers can have a snack or lunch.

  c. Educational Technology

The Educational Technology Department recognizes the potential of technology to change education and improve student learning but also acknowledges the risks that come with the technology. Students should demonstrate a proficient and ethical use of the technologies available to them for academic and personal purposes.

    Technology Facilities

Integration of technology is achieved when students are able to appropriately select technology tools to help them obtain information in a timely manner, analyze and synthesize the information, and present it effectively. The technology should become and integral part of how the classroom functions- as accessible as all other classroom tools.

    Computer Centers (PS)
We integrate technology into our teaching for students to:
• acquire basic computer skills
• independently reinforce subject area concepts
• expand on strengths through focused practice.

A fine is charged per day if the book is not returned on the due date. Students are responsible for lost or damaged library materials.
